Cincinnati ranked among best summer travel destinations in nation, study finds
Cincinnati has plenty to offer from its zoo to its extensive restaurant and brewery scene so it's no surprise a recent study found the Queen City to be among the best summer travel destinations in the nation this year.
According to WalletHub, nearly 80% of American travelers are planning trips in 2022. WalletHub conducted a study to find the best places to travel this summer to help travelers find the perfect summer getaway.
WalletHub compared 100 cities across 43 indicators, including budget, number of attractions and weather.
"Compared with other rankings that focus on each destination’s scenic quality, this report focuses primarily on the cost and convenience of traveling to each location as well as its affordability," WalletHub stated, adding it is also taking attractions and activities into account.
Cincinnati ranked No. 9 on the list. The top three best places to travel to this summer, according to researchers, is Orlando, Washington, D.C., and the Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater area.
Researchers found Cincinnati ranked the second best for travel costs and hassles as well as for cost of the cheapest flights.
Some top things to do in Greater Cincinnati this summer include visiting the Cincinnati Zoo, going to a Cincinnati Reds game, visiting the Newport Aquarium, taking a cruise on BB Riverboats, visiting the Ark Encounter, hanging out at Washington Park and seeing a concert at Riverbend Music Center.
Have always wanted to take my family here on a weekend get away. Definitely going to the zoo and aquarium. Creating memories for our little ones in a beautiful city 🌻
My boyfriend goes for the beers and I go for the fine dining! We live pretty close and always enjoy our time
