Hi @saralove!
Here are some tips for traveling to Europe on a budget:

  1. Consider visiting less popular destinations: Cities like Paris and London can be expensive, so consider visiting smaller cities or less touristy destinations instead.

  2. Look for budget accommodation options: Hostels and Airbnb rentals can be more affordable alternatives to hotels.

  3. Take advantage of budget airlines: There are many budget airlines in Europe that offer cheap flights to various destinations. Just be aware that these flights may have additional fees for baggage or other services.

  4. Look for discounts and deals: Many tourist attractions and activities offer discounts for students, children, or groups. Check their websites or ask at the ticket booth to see if any discounts are available.

  5. Eat like a local: Avoid tourist traps and opt for local, casual restaurants and markets for meals. This can be a more affordable and authentic way to experience the local cuisine.

  6. Use public transportation: In many European cities, public transportation is affordable and efficient. Consider using buses, trams, or trains instead of renting a car or taking a taxi.

  7. Plan ahead: Booking flights and accommodation in advance can often lead to lower prices. Additionally, planning out your activities and making a budget can help you stay on track with your spending.
